Raquy's Darbuka Ofis in Istanbul!

Located in the heart of Taskim- downtown Istanbul, Raquy's Darbuka Ofis is a beautiful new space especially designed for practicing the darbuka!   Darbuka Ofis offers lessons by Raquy and great Turkish masters in the form of classes, private lessons, and retreats.

With the new Turkish split hand technique, Turkish drummers are able to attain an unprecedented level of speed and dexterity. Drummers from all over the world flock to this magical city to study with the masters.

Raquy Danziger is an ambassador of darbuka. She has spent the last 4 years immersed in the drumming scene in Istanbul, practicing with the great masters. Through her teaching method and notation system she is able to translate and explain the Turkish technique to drummers of any background

Bunyamin Olguncan is a shinning example of the Turkish split hand technique in Turkey today. He is the founding member of the Harem Turkish percussion troupe and performs regularly with Turkish pop star, Tarkan. His playing has an incredible depth and beauty and he is a wonderful, patient teacher.
